David Delavega is a London-based author. His property and design books draw on 25 years of practical experience across renovation, interiors and construction delivery — knowledge built through the realities of projects rather than theory alone.

That experience covers the full arc of a London project: surveying an existing property, rethinking a plan that no longer works, spatial planning across awkward Victorian and Edwardian layouts, kitchens and bathrooms, loft conversions, rear and side extensions, basements, gardens and terraces — then seeing the work through with trades, sequencing and the ordinary problems that only appear once a wall is open.

His approach connects creative interior design with a detailed understanding of materials, structure, lighting, installation and everyday function. Luxury, in his view, is not created by cost alone; it comes from proportion, consistency, restraint, craftsmanship and careful attention to the details people touch every day.

The books translate that practical experience into accessible guides. Each one takes a specialist area — kitchens and living spaces, London renovation, lofts and extensions, gardens and terraces, the Italian home, luxury detailing — and sets out the thinking, sequence and decisions in language a homeowner can act on.

Alongside his property and design books, David writes on Christian faith. This is a distinct and personal area of his authorship, separate from property work: a Scripture-focused introduction to the life, words and message of Jesus, written for readers who are approaching him for the first time.
